Paris Saint-Germain’s Dramatic 3-2 Victory Over Lyon: Neves Delivers Last-Gasp Winner

Paris Saint-Germain delivered a dramatic late victory for the second consecutive weekend in Ligue 1, securing a 3-2 win over Lyon with another stoppage-time goal. João Neves scored the decisive goal in the 95th minute, helping PSG overcome 10-man Lyon and return to the top of the Ligue 1 standings.

This thrilling finish came just one week after Gonçalo Ramos scored a 94th-minute goal to defeat Nice. Under Luis Enrique, PSG has now won back-to-back matches with last-gasp goals, showcasing their ability to claim crucial points in the final moments.

Although Senny Mayulu had a good header opportunity early in the game that went over the bar, PSG broke the deadlock in the 26th minute. Valentin Zaire-Emery latched onto a through ball from Vitinha and fired a powerful shot into the top corner of the net.

Just four minutes later, Alfonso Moreira scored a well-taken shot to equalize for Lyon. However, the visitors regained the lead in the 33rd minute. Vitinha intercepted a pass from Lyon's Tanner Tesman and passed the ball to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who curled a beautiful shot past goalkeeper Dominique Greif to give PSG a 2-1 lead.

Nicolas Tagliafico’s shot hit the post, and five minutes after the break, Lyon equalized again. Ainsley Maitland-Niles scored a stunning half-volley, lifting the ball over the helpless Lucas Chevalier to make it 2-2.

However, in the 93rd minute, Lyon was forced to play with 10 men after Tagliafico received a second yellow card for fouling Vitinha and was sent off.

PSG capitalized on their numerical advantage in the final attack of the game. In the 95th minute, João Neves scored the match-winner with a header, meeting a corner kick from Lee Kang-In and sending the ball into the net to seal the dramatic 3-2 victory.
